About
Well, this is how I would like to describe myself. I can not give specific names of the place that I work or the city that I live in. I am a periodontist, someone who specializes in treating gum disease and doing implant surgeries. Dental implants can be placed by many different specialties, such as periodontists, oral surgeon, prosthodontist, endodontist and your regular dentist. I must let you know that Implant Dentistry is not a specialty recognized by the American Dental Association. Your regular dentist may be able to place implants just as well as any specialist. Most dentists will, however, refer more difficult cases to specialists.
I have two children and a dog. My hobbies are reading (for pleasure and for professional development), listening to classical music and 70’s and 80’s pop music, hiking, skiing and hope to get into sailing (but only with a daysailer, dental school teachers do not make enough money to afford bigger sailboats, ha ha).
There are some of my favorite websites that cater to dental professionals in the sidebar under Link, and you are welcomed to visit them and see what dentists are reading about dental implants and other fun things.
